Anxiety Disorders

Specialized Diagnostic Assessment, Treatment, and Professional Consultation around Anxiety Disorders and their treatment:

Whether you have been diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder, you’re noticing symptoms but aren’t sure what they are, or you’re a therapist looking to improve your skills working with Anxiety Disorders, we’re here to help.

Anxiety can make life feel overwhelming, and can take people very far from the things that are most important to them. You may be avoiding certain places, people or things. You may be experiencing frightening intrusive thoughts or feeling like you can no longer control your worry. You may become preoccupied with difficult past experiences or fears about your future. The things that you do to try to escape your anxiety could be costing you your time, your freedom, or your dignity.

At Brown Psychological we conduct thorough assessment of anxiety symptoms, provide a specific diagnosis if there is one present, and construct treatment programs that are evidence based as well as flexible to your needs. We utilize primarily Cognitive & Behavioral therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, or Exposure therapies to work with anxiety disorders, though we may draw from other approaches as well.

All of the clinicians here are trained in different therapies, so please follow up on our individual profiles if you’re looking for a specific treatment. Crys is able to provide professional consultation to therapists working with anxiety disorders.
