Assessment and Diagnosis of OCD
OCD is a relatively common condition, occurring in about 1-2% of people. It is also very commonly missed and misdiagnosed. This workshop will be helpful for people who are trained to work with OCD but who want a refresher, but it will also be helpful for people who want to be sure that they are accurately identifying and properly referring people who may have this condition.
This workshop is primarily geared toward adult assessment and while it will offer information that is applicable across the lifespan it is not focused on pediatric assessment. If you work with teens or children and have questions about the applicability for you, please send me an email and we can discuss whether this may be helpful for you to attend.
The workshop will be online, and it will cover:
What obsessions and compulsions are
Signs that you may want to screen or assess for OCD
How to use screening measures to see if further investigation is warranted
Detailed review of the OCD symptoms that you will find on assessment measures/screeners (as well as some symptoms that are usually excluded!) with special emphasis on how to follow up when symptoms are endorsed so that you can do more accurate differential diagnosis.
The cost for the training is 250.00. If you have questions or would like to e-transfer payment instead, you can email crysbrownpsych@gmail.com
Side note: This training will NOT be taped, and the tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable, so if you are unable to come you can feel free to pass the ticket along to another person!
PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL OUT ALL THE REGISTRATION INFORMATION CAREFULLY. IF I CANNOT CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL YOU WILL NOT GET THE LINK TO YOUR TRAINING.
