What it’s like to work with me:
Most people reach out to me when they feel caught in patterns of anxiety, avoidance, or overwhelm that they can’t seem to think their way out of. I work with clients navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, ADHD, autism, relationship and workplace stress, financial stress, and major life transitions. Together, we dig into the “why” behind those patterns and build steadier, more realistic ways of coping and moving forward.
My style is warm, direct, and a little light-hearted, and I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy to be effective. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years in accounting, so I came to this work with real life experience: I know what it’s like to juggle competing demands, sit with hard decisions, and manage when life feels like more than you can hold.
I’m a good fit for clients who want insight and a plan—people who want to understand themselves better, but also leave each session with something concrete to try.
Sessions are $235 and available online or in person at our downtown Edmonton office.
If this sounds like a fit, I’d love to hear from you.
what i do best
-
Like all clinicians at Brown Psychological, OCD and anxiety disorders are a primary focus for me. I treat OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold standard, in which I trained through the University of Pennsylvania. I have additional training in working with relationship OCD.
I also provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for social anxiety, panic disorder, and GAD.
-
I am trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, or EMDR. I have experience working with different types of trauma, including developmental trauma, interpersonal trauma, and violence.

Finances can be deeply affected by mental health, and I work with a range of financial concerns and behaviours that people want to better understand or change. For some people, financial concerns are connected to diagnoses such as anxiety disorders or ADHD. For others, they may be tied to stress, avoidance, shame, past experiences, or patterns that have become hard to shift.
Our first step is understanding what is happening and why. From there, we make a plan for how to approach the issue in a way that feels practical and realistic.
-
I am especially passionate about helping people shift financial behaviours that may be creating stress or limiting their quality of life, such as excessive shopping and gambling.
My master’s capstone project investigated treatment options for individuals with problematic buying–shopping behaviours and this is a special area of interest to me, and an area in which I have done a lot of study and reading.
-
Many of my clients are neurodivergent, and I have spent time adapting evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma so they are more responsive to the needs of ADHD and autistic clients. My goal is to provide treatment that is clinically sound, practical, and respectful of how each person’s brain and nervous system work.
-
I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space for all people, regardless of age, race, gender, or orientation. As a South Asian clinician, I also especially welcome BIPOC clients who may be seeking a therapist who understands the importance of culture and identity in shaping their experiences and care.
-
I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and work with couples to understand the patterns shaping their communication, reactions, and behaviour — both individually and between partners. When couples can see what is happening underneath the conflict, they often have more room to respond differently, reconnect, and make meaningful change.

I do not work with families, children, or with people who need a higher level of care than I may be able to provide. This may include folks in acute psychosis, with anorexia or bulimia, certain personality disorders, chronic pain, forensic concerns, somatoform disorders, and addictions where there is acute physical withdrawal. While I will always assist existing clients in a crisis, if your primary concern is a mental health emergency I may refer you to other services before doing a longer-term piece of work with you.
