January 19th, 2026 (12pm-4pm) - Assessment & Diagnosis of OCD

$250.00

Please join us for an online workshop on January 19th (12-4 pm Mountain/Alberta time). I like to leave lots of time for questions, so we may finish a little earlier than 4pm in the event that there are no questions from participants. People needing to slip out a little before 4pm will likely be able to do so without missing substantive content.

OCD is a common condition, occurring in about 1-2% of people. It is also very commonly missed and misdiagnosed, which causes a lot of issues for clients because most interventions that are not specifically targeting OCD will be ineffective or harmful. This workshop will be helpful for people who are trained to work with OCD but who want a refresher, but it will also be helpful for people who do NOT work with OCD and who want to be sure that they are identifying and properly referring people who may have this condition.

The workshop will be online, and it will cover:

  • What obsessions and compulsions are

  • Signs that you may want to screen or assess for OCD

  • How to use screening measures to see if further investigation is warranted

  • Review of gold standard assessment measures in detail with special emphasis on distinguishing worry from obsession

The cost for the training is 250.00. If you have questions or would like to e-transfer payment instead, you can email  crysbrownpsych@gmail.com

Side note: This training will NOT be taped, and the tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable, so if you are unable to come you can feel free to pass the ticket along to another person!

PLEASE BE SURE TO FILL OUT ALL THE REGISTRATION INFORMATION CAREFULLY. IF I CANNOT CONTACT YOU BY EMAIL YOU WILL NOT GET THE LINK TO YOUR TRAINING.
